I’ve heard IDLES are pretty decent. It might be another night in the Park for me, and I suspect the intersection of IDLES and King Princess fans is going to be smaller than that of the Sleaford Mods and the Flaming Lips.

Yep FT is headlining Avalon on Friday but on clashfinder its saying 23.15 start time. So would be possible to see other headliner and at least see some of his set.

Seen Morcheeba a few times and have pretty much all the albums. Though never listened to them whilst having sex or smoked weed. I’m obviously not the right audience!

Spent a bit of time listening to them last night. Liked everything I’ve heard, but even if you’d never heard anything, they’re the sort of band you could just turn up and enjoy sight unseen. Punk, init - and pretty decent stuff at that.
I’m hoping they get a couple of lesser known North American acts over. On the punk theme along, I’d love to see Menzingers play Glasto (although theirs is more punk rock than IDLES).
Also, not sure if King Princess billing is legit. She doesn’t seem to have enough material for the penultimate Friday night Park slot. She’s very good though.

So Netflix Homecoming. IF you get past the 1st 20 minutes (didn’t recognise a single song) it becomes a fascinating insight into how Beyonce put together a globally acclaimed tribute to Black Culture.

Just watched that Netflix Beyonce Cochella movie. Totally not my music but a stunning spectacle & film.
But doesn’t even warrant being mentioned in the same breath as Metallica at Glasto.
As one of the middle aged crusties that @Barry-Sanchez abhors at these things, I’ll confess that I am nowhere near cool. When I’ve go no kids in the house, I’ll have no connection to what the yoof is up to, whatsoever.
Apart from Glastonbury.
What I always find myself doing before Glastonbury is getting into bands I’ve never heard of. The research is never complete, because I always end up hearing someone there that I like, and I end up getting into them.
This is perhaps why I am always ambivalent about Glasto and the Sanchez gets upset if Status Quo are not there.
Which is the whole point. We have no idea who is playing when tickets go on sale, it’s kind of immaterial.
Like you I research you tube - more necessary not normally listening to UK radio.
I make lists, the team all make lists we compromise on the must sees and often enjoy the surprises even more.
Gaga, Elbow, Leonard Cohen, Dolly Parton, Nile Rodgers, Prodigy, La Roux, Jayzee, White Lies. All wonderful and none were on our lists.
