Mrs P_F & I drie down in a rented Campervan from near skatesmuff. Stop at criketers? to meet @lifeintheslowlane Nick is coming down on och next day with ex phone a friend & her pal. We have his gear in the camper van
We park a cconvverted almost antique French coacch conversion (well posh & renovated) almost burns it’s clutch out parking next to us.
We put the Tent up for Nick (well mni Litsl Palace - crazzy handsome guy -short ginger hair piercing blue eyes comes from an introduces himself. Whatever
We start talking herbs are found. He asks if we like Whisky. Ges intohis an opens a hole in the floor - ccase of craft single Malt (sorry @Map-of-Mauritania can’t remeber - marvellous.
Next day Nick arrives, Ginger guys’s wife arrives - she forgot the herbs.
A deal is done.
Time to say goodbye Sunday morning - he says he had a great time, invites me & Mrs P_F to an event to celebrate the launch of his new project at his expense. Tells us to email him
We lose his business card.
Maybe 2 years later we are watching HBO - their new big show debuts.
Ah bollox.
It was Damien Lewis & his projecct was Homeland and Mrs P_F ccould have done Hollywood.
Sigh that year was memorable for one of THE greatest ever Glasto sets. Will nevver be bettered
