15 piece orchestra playing the music of Queen by candlelight, last night at the Central Hall in Westminster.
Pleasant evening in a very relaxing atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyable hour or so of beautifully played music.

Had a call last night from a mate who managed to get 2 tickets for Paul Weller tonight at Pompey Guildhall. Bloody canāt go as iād promised to do something else. Arse!
Weāre heading there tomorrow night, for the Aussie Pink Floyd.

Busy week for gigs, this. Aussie Pink Floyd last night, Wishbone Ash in Newbury on Wednesday, then back to P*rtsm**th on Saturday for Transmission (official Joy Division keepers of the flame.) Really looking forward to that one.

Just back from The Lens at Pompey Guildhall. Transmission (Joy Division tribute) were really excellent, I thoroughly recommend them for any Joy Division fan.

I was lucky enough to see Joy Division supporting the Buzzcocks at Edinburgh Odeon October 1979. Its the only concert I can recall that the venue was packed for both acts.

Still terrific at the ripe old age of 82, and as a bonus the quite marvellous Bobby Worth on drum duty. One of the finest jazz drummers this country has ever produced, I never thought Iād get another chance to see him.
Johnny Nomates was at Twyford Church last night to see the wonderful Jesca Hoop. It felt like it was just Jesca and Iā¦her Tiny Desk Concert gives that same kind of feeling tooā¦
Penetration were very good tonight. However, they were somewhat upstaged by their chosen āsupportā, to whit Essential Logic. They really were excellent, even bought a CD which the lovely Lora Logic was on hand to sign for us. 
Second gig of the month for me at The Joiners tomorrowā¦hope the stage is big enough for herā¦
