I think we need to get MOT a ticket to The Undercover Festival.

He’d love that, right up his street.

Where’s that Stoneski vid

That’d be cruel and unusual punishment Phil. :joy:

The fact you know about this is disturbing…I had to look it up and then go sit down in a dark room to recompose.

Poland is watching it with pleasure apparently

Proper Festival music

The next Concorde Phonyfest is currently being organised.

Am off to Belfast on Friday to see the Killers and Johnny Marr. Best mate lives in Belfast so of course joining me and sorting pre and post venues :+1:

My Bro went to Victorius
Full on back stage shit.
Not jealous tbh as he was there watching my Niece playing with Kate Nash

Yeah, that’s her - when she isn’t Kate’ing she does Music Therapy for disabled kids.

Hell of lot more give back than I managed

Great evening of jazz at the Concorde last night, the Dean Stockdale Quartet, playing Oscar Peterson stuff. They concentrated mainly on Peterson’s own compositions, which was a refreshing change from just doing all his old Cole Porter and Gershwin covers. Good guitarist with them too, Pete Williams.

Killers and Johnny Marr in Belfast on Friday night. Outdoor venue, 40k crowd, thankfully the weather played along nicely.

The Hitman Blues Band at the Concorde this evening.

Hadn’t heard anything of theirs before tonight, really enjoyed it. Apparently they play the club on most of their UK tours so will definitely be looking out for them next time. Very good stuff, blues with a modern twist.

They look thrilled to be there.

I guess that’s why they call it the blues?

It was the final night of a long UK tour, so I imagine they were a bit jaded.

Before I flew out, I saw The National at Ally Pally. Absolutely suberb.

I’d love to have seen that. Did they throw in any Joy Division tracks at all?

They did Decades and ended with LWTUA. They did an updated version of Isolation which, imho, was the best one. Bizarre Love Triangle, Vanishing Point, Plastic, Subculture and Temptation were the New Order highlights. Brilliant stuff.
