You know how it is…you’re clearing out the loft to load the car for the next trip to the dump and something catches your eye and bang goes the good intent.
Yesterday it was an old Kodak folder full of ancient black & white negatives. My trainspotting pictures from the early '60s!
I have a good negative scanner so I loaded up a few. This is a picture of the good old Lymo Flyer circa 1962. Like all us spotty trainspotting kids we spent most of the journey hanging out the window..
Is he the one with the broken axe in his hand?

Recent rainy days have driven me indoors. Boring tasks like clearing up stuff in the loft has uncovered unexpected gems, like my parents WW2 love letters and my old trainspotting negatives from the early ‘60s.
Long before my ennoblement I was just a spotty railway owning nipper…my first steamer. 
I loved Gordon more than Thomas tbh
This one is named “Mercury”…upper class nomanclature.
