Did they run out of bridge builders?
Maybe. Although the truth is actually that it got washed away so often they get fed up of rebuilding it.
There are some surprisingly lovely Mont Ventoux region wines.
Lady Slowllane and I will be there next Friday. 
Phew. That was close. Only just escaped in time. We’ve run away from the Mistral. Hope for your sake it’s stopped by Friday (they say it will). It’s 50mph+ winds and freezing.
