Around this time of year (in odd number years) there is a very high level scientific conference held in Grasmere Town Hall for 4 days. I went back in 2015.

A beautiful setting although I have to admit I would have skipped the conference.

Every time I go there Dove Cottage is closed. The wife a secondary school teacher and head of English of course has been.
