Forster and Bertrand in the England squad for the Dutch and German friendlies :-
That’s Leicester screwed then.
Two players being tapped up/ruined by Hodgson’s training regime
It is vicariously edifying to be sending players to the national squad, even if it does seem to have coincided with a great deal of transfer turmoil. With his experience at Chelsea behind him, Bertrand hopefully knows that the grass isn’t necessarily greener on the other side.
As a club, we should feel proud of playing a part in developing so much of that squad.
hoping to see a solid midfield three of Drinkwater, Henderson & Milner cos that will scare the Germans bigtime.
Anyone else underwhelmed by that squad?
That’s a bit of an overstatement
And Senior Squad, really, more like “Just Out of Nappys” squad.
It’s been a great return for Fraser.
Without that run of clean sheets Roy could easily have said that he needs more time, but he has forced his way back in to the England squad.
Nice one.
With Butland’s injury, a guaranteed start for Frase tonight. Here’s hoping he can make a good impression. An arsenal class performance please 'keeper!
Hopefully Ryan gets a go too and an opportunity to show what he can do.
I would never usually wish injury on anyone, but in this case, I’ll make a perfectly understandable exception. Please Virgil – fucking break Adam Lallana into so many pieces, that even a crate of nivea couldn’t improve his appearance.
I’m not to excited and I would understand if the two players weren’t either, given Hodgsons comments. Yesterday I read he said that hart was his number 1 and the others were a long way off that. Couple weeks back here said that Luke share would be going to the Euros, both of which fill our chaps with great confidence. Why say that? Why not just day something about people taking their chances and proving themselves? He’s got a fixed team in his head and it doesn’t matter how well anyone outside that team plays, they’re not going to be starting in the euros. I saw some headline about his comments about Rooney after the win against Germany and I couldn’t be bothered to read it as I’m sure it said something like “despite the goals scored and good play, Rooney will always play as he’s our captain”.
The only bit of joy or interest or excitement I’ve had watching England for 20 years or so, was when Lambert came on and scored that header. In fact, that was the first England match I’d even watched in years.
