This has been mentioned a few times on the forum, perhaps even by myself, but can I throw some more love out there for Bone Tomahawk?
Itās fucking brutal.

Itās fucking brutal.
Remains clearly in my memory despite watching it over 3 years ago. Especially that scene
It is just so brutal and so matter of fact. āHey! This is the kind of thing we do every dayā. The pregnant women were not pleasant to gaze on either.
Sonic the Hedgehogā¦
Actually quite enjoyed it, not sure why but I didā¦
I watched the Chris Morris film, The Day Shall Come. Itās based on unbelievable true stories and is quite upsetting if youāre a fanny like me. I had a few tears at the end. Itās quite funny as well. However, as a film thereās something missing from it. Itās an interesting story, itās quite amusing in place but Iād still only give it 6/10. I canāt put my finger on why.
I watched Parasite a couple iof weeks ago. Itās well worth the hype. 9/10
I watched The Joker yesterday. Itās one of the best films Iāve seen in ages. Itās better than parasite. Joachim Phoenix is fucking brilliant in it. I loved it. 10/10
Completely agree.
Was thinking about the film for days or weeks afterwards. A stunning performance.
A pandemic has got in the way of me watching Parasite at the cinema.
I watched it illegally on my TV . Iāll make up for my sins by never going to a wetherspoons again (and as an alcoholic and someone who loves a breakfast there after a weekend away thatās quite a commitment)
I downloaded (using torrents) and watched The Princess Bride last night, still a great film.
Is that available on Netflix??
Watched Tombstone this morning for the first time. Quality film. I need to watch it again as the last Western I saw before this was Bone Tomahawk.
This was Tamestone by comparison.
I love that film. Iāve watched it many times. Possibly val Kilmers finest hour.
Iāve actually been to Tombstone during my U.S exploration in 1996.
Funnily enough it was actually a WTF Happened to Val Kilmer YouTube video that put me onto it.
Itās full of greats though, Kurt Russell, Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Michael Biehn, Powers Boothe, Charlton Heston.
What a fucking cast. Kevin Costner, who did a Wyatt Earp film the same year, didnāt have much of a chance.
It was a great cast. The ok coral scene was brilliant. Iām a sucker for good westerns. I thought this was a great film.
We were there in 1993ā¦it was great, which is not something you can always say about Americaās depiction of the āWild Westā They have a habit of sanitising their history to turn it into a theme park. Tombstone still had the flavour of Victorian Main Street America, of course all the bars catered for the tourist but some were reassuringly tatty around the edges. One of them āThe Crystal Palaceā had a huge centerpiece, a 3 piece mirrorā¦the barman said it was the original glass which I found hard to believe. In a bar-room fight a chair through the mirror was always assured.
I remember there being a lot of people dressed as cowboys. Fulfilling some fantasy I guess. As a fan of westerns it was a cool place to visit and yes i visited a few bars. Everytime i went in one the pianist stopped playing. Guess i wasnāt from around them parts
I got that kindaā freeze in the atmosphere when I went in āThe Crownā in Kings Somborne for a pintā¦didnāt have a straw in my mouth.
We got that once when we went into a flat roof pub in Plaistow. V v v awkward.
Thereās your first mistake, right there. Flat roof pub.
Second mistake; Plaistow, have you never heard Ian Dury??
