That said I was looking through an old scrap book and noticed that between ages of 8-11 I had 14 fights winning 11, losing 1, with 1 draw and 1 no contest. Obviously I couldve taken things further but don’t forget this was way before the advent of the ufc etc. I’m ok with this now.
Anyone else care to share their fight records, or interesting details of any fights in particular? It’d be fun to hear.
I was forced to retire from my boxing career at the age of 13. By then I had 42 victories with 11 coming as straight KOs and the rest classed as “runaways” where the little shits just ran away. However, my mum wasn’t happy with all my fighting and made me retire. Once word got around the estate, all hell broke loose and anarchy reigned. What my mother hadn’t thought about was I was the estates Saddam Hussein, the Gaddaffi. I kept a lid on things and with me retired all the knobheads were running amok.
Fights? What are fights? My only school boy recollection is waking up in a daze- I felt Iike I had been sedated, gagged and wrist had red marks and my arse was also sore
There were rules back in the day. as I remember. Anyone that broke the throwing stones rule got a good smack.
The first fight involved a nipper who’d already beaten me up. The old dear told me that if I kept on coming in crying, she would give me something to cry about.
The last one was Bret, in Lab B.
The vast majority of my fighting career was done and dusted at twelve.
Though one girl came up to me in a night club and obviously wanted to have a scrap with me. She accused me of looking at her bloke. I said I hadn’t been and asked her to identify said boyfriend. She pointed out a rather large and not my type male in a corner. I somehow got away with being quite uncomplimentary and didn’t get hit.
I think either my boss eyedness got me into that or the girl dressed similar with glasses was the one eyeing up the guy.
