Spain sitting deeper already, but England are just not 100% on it today. They have picked the wrong day for that.

Saw this yesterday twice at the Carlisle game. Ref bottling the 2nd yellow when the 2nd foul was worse than the first.

They controlled the game well. But I do think that the womenโ€™s game has come a long way, as there were much lower scoring games, and one mistake cost us big time.

I also like the way there is respect at the end between the players. Huge disappointment and joy for the sets of players but consoling and congratulating going on.

I knew I should have put money on Spain from the start, and they would have lost that final.

England will regroup and go again.

The technical ability has improved hugely, and its entertaining. Yes its not as physical and we still spot naive errors (but plenty of those seen at Saints) but tournament has been a good watch.

A good, large, physically strong goalkeeper is one the keys to winning games in womenโ€™s football.
Sounds like the bleeding obvious but in this World Cup, otherwise good teams have fallen foul of the fact that whilst the goals are the same size as in the menโ€™s games, women are generally not the same size as men.
England have a goodun but we still lost. :frowning:

Ouch.

Not sure how I would feel if my family withheld the news of my father death from me for 2 days, whatever the circumstances
