šŸ† FA Cup 4th Round :saints: Southampton v Arsenal :arsenalfc: (Live on :bt_sport: Sport 1)

Great team performance for 60 minutes and saw out the Arsenal revival. That’ll do for me.

In other good news. New Grandson watched the entire game!
Not bad at 7 months old.

One weakness traditionally. Never got down to the corners. Reminds me a bit of SWOS 96’97. Every edition had a cheese goal you could score pretty much all the time. That edition was a 45 degree shot into one of the corner.

Ralph’s at it now, wtf are the celebration arrangements?

Number 1 was my go to goal.

Mini-Maradona clones?

Great! I’m hoping all’s well in my daughter’s household. She’s been well trained in her football supporting habits (I remember a fantastic family day at the JPT final) but is unfortunately married to a Gunner ST holder. I’m hoping she’s kept her celebration just the right side of divorce.

The Bro’-in-law is a Gooner. Was remarkably relaxed about the result (Saints are becoming his second team as Sis C_S supports them so effectively had no choice).

He said the lack of crowd noise made him miss full-house matches in the Library.

How the fuck though? He still looks dodgy as fuck when playing from the back.

Fuck, that’s twice in one day. Think I need a lie down :man_facepalming::wink:

One of life’s great mysteries Baz, the main thing is it can’t be doing his confidence any harm and he’s helped us through 2 rounds of the cup and helped us beat the league champs so happy days :lou_sunglasses:

He is right footed. Coming forward from left sided CB he is often on the wrong foot.
Our goals have dried up because of it. Bednarek & Vesterfmgaard can play long precision angles balls to the opposite wing. Stephen’s cant do it so well as his left foot is much weaker & less accurate.
We lose a big weapon & he has less pass options.
That being said he does a good job as a stand in

We are talking about Fraser.

I know you live in Poland and clearly feel some affinity to Jan Bednarek as a consequence but I’m not so sure you can say that about his long range passing! Good defender but I swear most of his long balls go out for goal kicks or straight to their goalkeeper!

He hit a 40+ yarder to Bertie who "controlled it beautifully " & set a chance.
Taters then went on about his stats which are 2nd in EPL tackles & blocks

Why? Its true though, people do have strange bias and the funny thing is have you noticed we don’t really have it here in England?

A radio one DJ will say
"He/She is Scottish near where I am from so must be amazing etc etc (insert wank).
An Irishman can’t slag Bono of as he is Irish but plainly a twat.

This is what makes me feel proud to be English, if you’re shite and or a cunt you always get pulled irrespective.

Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Ashley Cole etc etc

An exception rather than the rule I would say!

I’m not questioning his defending at all.
