Both sides had/have a lot of talent… its who is able to gell it and gets most from it that that makes the difference… Germans will have Flick and a new broom as Low ran out of ideas 5 years ago, but Jury is out on Southgate… what we remember most about 66 is the hurst hayrick… we played an attacking game. Would it be as fondly remembered had itbee a 1-0 stiffling contest? 2014 was remembered more for the 7-1 against Brazil than the 1-0 over Argentina. I want to see Gareth grow a pair and demolish a few sides on way to victory, not just ‘calculate’ how to win… We have a wealth of attacking talent yet still seem afraid to use it… always been the same - Every other country would have found a way to play both Gazza AND Le Tiss… only England says 1 ‘luxury’ player only… that why we aint won fuck all since 66, too scared…
