Loads of piss takes at Za Za’s penalty last night … here’s one of my favourites
I just dont think its Psychological - and that is to me the biggest problem - that the FA and football establishment are completely fucking blind to why England are shit… because they simply cant beleive we can be shit when we have the ‘worlds best league’ and all those talented and expensive players… they think it must be just Roy or the Psychology…
I really think its much simpler than that. We are simply not a t’eam’ - a group of talented yet ego droiven players who struggle to adapt beyond their club game.
How did the Germans get it right? Simple they selected a style they wnated to play and then got BUY IN from all clubs to coach youngsters in that style - creating readymade players to slot in - but it needed commitment from clubs. The Prem was meant to provide that, but instead has bred a selfish attitude from both clubs and players, and the England Coach/manager simply has too little time with players to get them to gell and play to a particular style (all clubs doing different things) - its no wonder the best England performance of late was the friendly against the Germans where they played 'poch’s pressing game second half…
If we want a cohesive and effective national side, then clubs need to get behind this… sadly, the owners and boards dont give a fuck about the national side because they dont need to. the Prem is a bigger export. The Bundesliga knew they could improve the image of the league, through a successful national side playing an attacking passing game…
Even if the FA were to recognise this, there is feckall they can do about it given the power and disinterest of the premierleague.

I still can’t look beyond the top bloke from the FA sitting alongside Hodgson and telling us that he is 'not a football expert’.
That would be a good place to start…

I think there needs to be a complete reshuffle starting at the very top of the FA. They had had it wrong for years. Imagine any top club with the talent england have had and where it has been squandered by poor management decisions the way the FA have done with England… Hogdson, cappello, McClaren, Sven… Each manager has done worse than his predecessor. The FA are appointing these managers and giving them a strict mandate on how to manage, which style to play, which clubs are fashionable etc etc… the failure ultimatley lies with the FA and they need to go. You can not expect a bunch of old non footballing men with experience of being BBC exectives to successfully govern the english game. Buck has to stop there for me.
As for hodgson, he should never have been given two tournaments (i wanted him sacked pre brazil)… in fact I would have sacked him at half time against Iceland and given it to Neville. The man was a complete dinosaur and wasted two touraments and 4 years of english footballers and potential development.
But again, this is the FA’s fault, they need real football men involved, progressive modern english coaches and they need to give them the freedom to get on. Hopefully Wales’ success with a handful of talent in comparison to england will only highlight further the failures at our FA and at the higher reaches of our game.

He talks so much shit, that I am beyond annoyed with him, I just find him funny! He really speaks for the sake of speaking, but as far as I can make out that is a co-commentators job! He is the best at it though!
