The trouble is Roy that they didn’t do fantastically. It is nice that you want to be loyal to your players but they let, themselves and the country down last night. They were appalling bad and if you wanted to help for the future you should have said that was, on any level, unacceptable. I only hope that certain players, Rooney and Hart being 2, never get picked again. We went into the competition with 2 week centres halves too, an area that we will struggle to sort in the near future. I see Redknapp is saying that he has no faith in the FA to chose the right man. Call his bluff and give him the job. We aren’t going to win the WC anyway and it would be worth it for the lolz.
