Euro 2016

Being the beacon of positivity I am, at least we only have 2/3 games of Woy left.

Vardy must be fucking livid.

I’d of dragged Kane off after 20 mins & swapped him for Vardy. Looks burnt out to me. He will score Zero goals, same as the U21 Tournament last summer.

That was still the best tournament performace under Roy tho, so i’m not too angar overall.

Fkn milner ffs

We scored to fucking early again! We really need to take the lead 89th/90th minute and we may hold on!

Oh those Russians …

Thought we bossed the first half but the longer we didnt score the more you start to think, oh shit. I dont know what happened in the second half because for a lot of it we didnt look like the same team. We were crying out for Vardy but what did we get eventually? Milner :lou_facepalm_2: Russia are very poor. We need to beat teams like that if we are to have a chance. Having said that Wales looked poor second half so perhaps all is not lost. :lou_eyes_to_sky:

difference being, Wales have a genuine bona fide Word Class match winner in Bale.

Not sure if you’re being ironic, but he had two bona fide counter chances, especially the one where he shot with his left (two there was, in fact, isn’t it?) , where he didn’t even make the keeper work. Ok, on target it, but Ronaldo would have nailed at least one of them, and then swaggered around.

Not intentionally, in fairness I missed most of the Wales game.

That said, I don’t think it’s an over exaggeration to say come Wales v England, Wales will have the best player on the pitch. I think that will be true for the majority of games they play, tbh. Which always gives you a chance.

Bale is class. Was watching his movement and what he does in games. His all round play is fantastic, I wish he was English. One of if not the best player in Euro 16.

Oh hold in… I forgot Milner!!!

On that viewing Sterling couldn’t trap a bag of cement.

And he runs like a girl.

Two very good reasons for him not to start against Wales.

Bale is excellent, plus he does all that left-footed. That’s not easy.

I’d say his all-round game has got worse since being at Real. (he has been asked to do a different role to be fair)

And I did watch the Wales game and I thought he was pretty poor (by his standards).

if he was, that twat Roy would probably play him in goal

Thing with Bale, and others in his bracket, is they can be poor for 89 mins and then just pull out one piece of magic that wins a game.

Granted, any player could do this. But he does it far more regularly. I don’t see who can do that in our team, really.

Marginally astride the topic…

He has a point lol

For the tiny minority of people who believe al-Khoei is serious, he is exhibiting that wonderfully charming British trait: sarcasm.

All of the sarcasm.

As al-Khoei told BuzzFeed:

The whole thread is a tongue-in-cheek imitation of how many Western analysts and journalists cover conflict in the Middle East.

Western media coverage should be much more nuanced and sophisticated [when reporting on the Middle East] and not play into ISIS’ hands who desperately want to make this a black-and-white sectarian war.

Well played.
