First South African wicket falls to the first ball after the morning drinks break. Malan caught by Stokes off the bowling of Woakes for 22, and itโs 39/1.
Lunch 90-2
Elgar falls an over before lunchโฆ
Stokes to Elgar, OUT , bouncer, rapid, Elgar flaps a pull, Stokes plucks the chance! That was onto him so quickly, but it was a terrible shot all the same. The ball was through him before his bat could react, it scooped off the splice as his head rocked backwards, and lobbed back to the bowler in his followthrough. The second limp dismissal of another otherwise doughty display, which rather sums up South Africaโs batting issues.
