I get the pragmatism of āsecuring against a lossā, but it could be years before we have a better chance of winning a test in India. Roll the dice!

People moaning about waiting too long, are you genuinely surprised?
This is the English sporting mentality especially in rugby and cricket (yes pitches play a part but that is not the be all and end all), attritional and wear the opponent down, its risk averse but strangely a risky tactic.
Weād rather not lose than win.
It also sends out a message we donāt have too much faith in our spin bowlers.
This is a Captain whose county team got beaten by a team chasing down 460 in 4th innings & who was labelled Craptain.
This is against a team that scored 389 in the 4th innings only a few weeks ago to win in Australia
I canāt honesty see India getting near the total providing we bowl even very average, I can see them batting out the day though with relative ease.
