My tame Aussie was not exactly happy when I gave him the result this morning claiming 20/20 is not a real game and we might as well play baseball if we claim that as a cricket win. When pointed out that he would have done the same if the result was reversed he happily agreed and still whinged,

To see if I’m bullshitting in the fact England at test level (what I referred to) play attritonal cricket and have done since year dot.
I think the Aussies have fucked themselves here more than we’ve done them, the same as the 1st game, they’ve been a right letdown.
Yes, I reckon the Aussies will settle for that in the end, after 17 overs they didn’t look like getting anywhere near 157. England did bowl and field very well I thought, Archer and Wood bowled with genuine pace and the Aussie top order struggled against it. Just one gripe re Archer, what is it with that vulgar bling round his neck? There’s a time and place, and an international against the Aussies isn’t one of them. I notice he keeps it tucked under his shirt until he starts bowling and the camera is on him, then hauls it out. Someone needs to have a word in his ear and tell him it looks fucking ridiculous.

I don’t, I simply appreciate good sport, I also don’t like our attitudes to our teams over others, by virtue of being English we’re better or the others are lucky, critical because I care.
