Absolutely! The stage is set for another Ben Stokes legendary innings. I will watch in the hope of one, but not in the expectation of one.
I think England can bat a lot better than that. They only ever seem to do it when theyāre chasing the series though. Seems like a psychological glitch to me.

If your car has a DAB radio, tune to 5Live Sports Extra and youāll get Test Match Special - the best radio broadcast anywhere in the world, ever. Sod anyone else in the car, you need to hear it. If you donāt have a DAB radio, but your radio does AM, see if you can tune to 198 on that - TMS is there too, though reception in a car can be pretty fucking awful.

It seems to me that the England team is greatly enhanced by players whose names rhyme with āoaksā. Stokes, Woakes - even those two examples are sufficient proof, but did Foakes not acquit himself pretty damn well when he played? Let us reanimate the corpse of John Noakes - heāll show the opposition a thing or two (mostly how to make fabulous things out of cereal packets, coat hangers and sticky-backed plastic, but fuck it - and oaks is an oaks in anybodyās book).
To make up for the lack of suitably named players, the ECB should ensure that the whole team be shod in Loake footwear. This will ensure a comprehensive win, no matter the opposition.

Foakes has a significantly better batting average than Bairstow or Buttler. But also look at the wicket keeping. Buttler has taken 2 (TWO) stumping in his entire first class and test career. Compared to Foakesās one in five innings. Buttlerās very occasional barnstorming innings is blinding us to the fact that heās considerably the worst available keeper for England tests.
