Sigh

More from Abhishek!

He hits back-to-back sixes to close Archer’s second over, hitting a lofted cut over point then cleaving the ball over the covers.

Archer’s first two overs have gone for 16 and 18.

89-1 off 5.4 overs

111-1 off 7

Abishek 50 off 17 balls
79 off 27

98 off 34 ball partnership

India’s 100 up, 111-1 after 7 overs, absolute carnage. Overton’s first over went for 25, Abishek’s 50 up in 17 balls, now on 78 off 26. Rishi Sunak sitting there lapping it up with a shit eating grin on his face. I didn’t realise our parliament is in recess, skiving little cunt.

Poor decision not to give a wide meant Arbishek cannot equal the record

First ODI. Won toss. Batted.

72-0 offf 8.4 overs when I switched on. Salt then run out, sent back going for improbable 3rd and 3 balls later Duckett caught off mistimed pull and Brook gloves 2nd ball down legside for a duck.

74-3. I’ll switch off.

Too late, I’ve just turned it on

Root and Buttler at the creased and Pitersen commentating, his voice will make me switch it off…

Root gone Umpires call LBW.
111-4
18.4 OVERS
Game over

171-5, Buttler toes a bad ball from Axer, through the shot early as the ball appeared to stick in the pitch, just before the drinks break as well.

33 overs gone

50 for Bethell.
Probably more important than the result as he finally got to spend time at the crease facing the Indian spinners
219-7 42.1

England made a decent enough start in today’s second ODI, but it looks like the all too familiar middle order collapse is starting. Duckett made 65, Root 69, Buttler and Brook made it into the 30s then got out, Overton coming in 5th wicket down is a joke, at best he’s a county standard journeyman trundler and a genuine tail ender with the bat. He made his usual 6 then aimed a cross batted heave at Jadeja which went straight up in the air. Yet England keep picking him, it has to be one of lifes mystery’s why. England 272-6 with three overs to go in their innings.

They had noone else.
Smith injured then Bethell did a hamstring.
Tom Banton on way from UAE for game 3

287-7 off 48
