Rain affected shortened game.
England are 8-3 off 4.2 of 34 overs.

Might watch the golf

28-4
7.2 overs
Brook gone

Livingstone and Curran recover England to 226-7.

Wiley starts the bowling…

First ball clips Allen’s pocket, 2nd ball fattened middle stump

NZ 0-1 from 0.2 overs

Ffs.
Golf is exciting.
Rugby is close
Cricket could get tense.

I need a beer

Fear the beard. And his low full Bungers. 140-7.

And 140-8 shortly after

Now 145-9

82 needed from 46 balls, perfectly doable.

And then Engksnd win convincingly by 79 runs

Ridiculous tbh after that start.
Great that Livingstone is coming back into form with the bat, now need him getting his rythm with the ball

At least Mo had the good grace to laugh sheepishly when Mitchell mishit that filthy full toss down Topley’s throat. His hundredth ODI wicket too, he’ll remember that one.

3rd ODI v New Zealand.

After losing Bairstow for a golden duck and Root, for little runs, England have recovered to 92-2 from 15 overs.

BATTING R B 4s 6s SR
Jonny Bairstow c Conway b Boult 0 1 0 0 0.00
Dawid Malan not out 43 46 7 0 93.47
Joe Root b Boult 4 7 1 0 57.14
Ben Stokes not out 41 37 7 0 110.81

200-2 after 27 overs

Stokes 100 up from 7 balls.

207-2 after 29.1 overs

Malan gone for 96, thin snick as the ball was going down the leg side.

Given not out on the field, DRS and snicko shows he edged it.

Boult to Malan, OUT

Down the leg side… tickle? There’s a huge appeal along with the umpire signalling wide. ā€œI think we should have a look,ā€ says Trent Boult. Latham agrees… And there’s a spike on ultra edge at the last possible instant as ball passes the bat! Outstanding review and Malan has to go, four short of what would have been a fifth ODI century

Dawid Malan c †Latham b Boult 96 (95b 12x4 1x6) SR: 101.05

Record breaking knock from Stokes there, 100 from just 7 balls!

At least now I know someone is reading what I am writing…

Commentators are lamenting England’s injury list, notable Roy’s back that isn’t seeming to fix itself.

I don’t think any England supporters are really that concerned that Roy might not play.

Phillips to Buttler, OUT

Yanked to the on-side, and picks out deep midwicket! But Phillips has thrown himself so wide on the crease that he’s cut the line, is it going to be a back-foot no-ball? It’s such a rarity, and like a front-foot no-ball it all depends on the first point of contact. Replays suggest he touched down millimetres inside the box

Jos Buttler c Young b Phillips 38 (24b 6x4 1x6) SR: 158.33

290-4 from 37.5 overs

Stokes 150 up with a huge 6, 151 from 106 balls.

England 307-4 after 40 overs

Damn, that’s a helluva sky over the Oval
