Shit @cb-saint if I’d known I would have zoomed in on you to take a piccie.
Waiting for united to be charged with surrounding the ref the same as Hull were the other week. but don`t hold your breath!
Would love to have seen Kats reaction to the 62 minute tribute with the lights - looked bloody amazing on the screen, must have been incredible in the stadium. It must be still very moving for her how much he means to so many after all this time
He really is a great finisher. Reminds me more of Inzaghi the more I see him play. Gutted for Romeu. Put in another fantastic performance and was devastated at the end.
Managed to confuse security at Wembley. They couldn’t work out why I had a toothbrush squirrelled away in my pocket.
Nice to be justified in our anger at that terrible decision, small consolation though. Watch out Watford, I sense we’ll be taking this out on someone…
As I was driving back from Wembley, up to Carlisle, I was listening to 606. The Saints fans were far more happier than the Man U fans. Some just gobsmacked by the whole day, taking there son/daughter and the whole amazing experience. Man U fans just sounded like they had lost.
The other thing that mad me laugh, was I did not hear a Manc voice on any of the callers, with one of them making the point he was from Surrey, but had a season ticket… why? Have a listen, it is funny, but we had a couple of great callers.
We deserved this trophy and would have enjoyed it much more than there boring souless fans every would! dam you football gods!!!
Anyways, thats the last from me on the final, it’s gone, but I will have the memories forever (hopefully).
Edited for you Phyllis. just copy and paste youtube vids straight into box.
I did Mr Mod
As per attachment procedure but if the rules have changed and nobody tells us what can we do ?
If I did it wrong again?
As I was walking through the facility today, one of the nippers I know from the smoking area starts giving it large about United winning. He was a fair distance away, and was shouting across the place, but I didn’t respond.
Then.
I collared him in aforementioned smoking area, and said “I don’t remember Warrington being at Wembley”.
“Both my parents are from Manchester”.
“I don’t give a fuck. You’re not, and neither are Manchester United”.
I hope he’s not the HR reporting type, or I’m probably getting sacked in the morning.
Well, having blocked football from my thoughts – or at least attempted to do so – for the past three days, I finally feel able to add a few lines to this thread.
During my lifetime supporting Saints I’ve been fortunate enough to watch them play at Wembley five times; I missed out on 2010 JPT. Each visit has served to confirm that what counts above all else is to win on the day. BUT, having failed to win on the day, I reckon Saints came as near as it’s possible to do the second best thing: produce a performance, on and off the pitch, that I shall enjoy remembering for the rest of my days.
Fair play to the plastic Manc. Didn’t get sacked this morning
