Cheeky fucker

I’ve always been a bit fascinated with Robert Shaw. This is a good documentary - even though a lot of it is subtitled because the Irish insist on Irish-chat.

I particularly liked him in Pelham 123. And in the Sting.

I saw The Sting for the first time this year. It’s a beautiful piece of work, especially as it brings the audience onboard for nearly all the details then cons them at the end.

Shaw just had this danger in his eyes. Didn’t have to say anything to convey it.

Makes @Polski_Filip name dropping look like sheer amateur work.

Surely not :scream:

I have no musical skills whatsoever but I love to listen to musicians talk about theirs.

They make it look so easy…it’s a trick they play on people like me. :slightly_frowning_face:

Watched that at the weekend - deffo worth investing a bit of time. Plenty of ā€œ I didn’t know thatā€ moments from me at least.

Brian Johnson meets Dave Grohl on Sky Arts

Quite watchable and fills out Dave’s recent autobiography

This one will upset our previous IT manager :-

As he might have said about other matters.

Brilliant episode of Big Match Revisited, watch it on catch up. 19th December 1976.

Hosted by Elton John in the absence of Brian Moore, studio guests Keegan and Channon :+1::+1::smile::smile::smile: I swear I’m not making this up. Sample dialogue, Keegan mentions a Channon hat trick while he himself only came close to an own goal. ā€œI’m struggling to put them in at one end, I’m that desperate I’m trying to get it in the otherā€¦ā€
Elton John: ā€œI know how you feel.ā€

The ā€œfunniesā€ were indeed side-splitting.

Sarcasm ill becomes you :smile::smile:

I know, it was trite and a little embarrassing. But I loved seeing Keegan and Micky on there. Loved it. (quavering voice, Geordie accent, holds back the tears…)

I would very much recommend the Boeing documentary on Netflix.

I would not recommend going on a Boeing.

On Sky Arts later, a bit too late starting 12-45 am, Cold War Steve Meets The Outside World, a two hour film following the satirical artist as he embarks on UK wide, outdoor art installation. Will definitely watch it on catch up tomorrow.

Now here’s something I’d like to see. I’ll have to look up the schedule:
