Hmmm…I’m afraid they will be playing “You’ll Never Walk Alone” at St Mary’s tomorrow night…hopefully not over the stadium tannoys.

RIP

Sad news. Another part of my childhood memories gone. Gerry and the Pacemakers were the first band to record their first 3 singles as no. 1s. Went to see Ferry Cross The Mersey as a nipper. Apart from London, Liverpool was the coolest place on the planet mid 60s. RIP

Tanya Roberts has sadly passed away aged just 65. She was my favourite Charlie’s Angel and made a very hot Sheena, Queen of the Jungle. RIP

Oi. I’ll have you know that Liverpool’s regeneration coincides entirely with my arrival.

“Coincides” being the operative word.

Apparently reports of her death have been exaggerated. Turns out she is ill in hospital, but still with us. A bit embarrassing for whoever issued the press release.

Ooops

“Rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated.”

Mark Twain.

Indeed. It seems that her agent misunderstand her partner?? Perhaps they should check her life insurance policy?

Another one of chilhood faves has gone.

Wasn’t he responsible for one of the first internet poll hijackings by football fans

I think it was about naming a stand and he was an option - the bell end had a nice ring to it

What a player he was! I don’t believe in having a second team to support but the nearest I can to supporting another team was Man City in Bell’s era. They had a cracking side back then and Bell was a consummate midfielder. RIP

(Bell end )

?

Ah, Bond’s effort at a haiku iirc…

You only live twice
Once when you die
And once when you look death in the face

Although it doesn’t scan in Japanese, according to Tiger Tanaka. :unamused::grin:

He, along with his brother, is one the reasons why the UK is such a great place to dine out. The number of top chefs that have learnt their craft from them is astonishing
