Sir Everton Weekes, legendary West Indies cricketer, has died. His never-bettered run of five consecutive Test centuries was only ended when he was run out on 90 in his next innings. He’s now fallen five years short of another ton.

Ennio Morricone, probably the greatest soundtrack composer, has died aged 91.

Metallica still come on to one of his tracks, The Esctasy of Gold.
I was also watching documentaries on One Upon a Time In America, which he also wrote for. Some beautiful music for an intentionally ugly film.

That’s an incredible track.
Personally I’d put him a neck behind John Barry, but he was a superb composer. RIP.

Charlie Daniels has died aged 83. A great fiddle player, there were few instruments he couldn’t play. RIP.
