⚰ Death

Basketball legend Kobe Bryant has died in a helicopter crash aged just 41.

Just saw that. All that talent, all that fame and money. If it’s your time etc et (and other cliches). Sad.

Likewise. And Parsons presented it throughout, with just a brief interlude when he wasn’t well last year I think. A brilliant host.

There’s definitely a hesitation.

Hopefully no deviation.

Kirk Douglas. Can’t complain with 103. Well you could, it’s probably too old, isn’t it?

RIP Lyle Mays. Passed at 66 years of age. I love piano and he had a beautiful light lyrical touch… :frowning:

Caroline Flack found dead in her flat. Only 40 years old.

Desperately sad news. I was not a fan of hers particularly, but the media and Twitter/Instagram trolls have taken another victim.

Let’s just watch the scum media outlets pay tribute to the girl they were hounding up until the news came out.

Sickened by this. RIP Caroline

This is terrible news. One of the greats of modern music IMO.

It is obviously very sad. No debate.
Equally IF you choose public life then you want Social Media MSM in fact ANY coverage.
Only fools could imagine that exposure comes at no cost.
It has ALWAYS been the British thing to build up stars then try and break them. Gazza being the perfect football example

Think Gazza did that to himself…

After the Press broke him - it’s debatable but Gazza was all over the back & front pages for non football reasons while he was still a treasure.

Doesn’t make it right though Phil…

I know. It is such a tough subject when you look at it in depth.

When we were young many of us would have dreampt of being “celebs” I joked many times of being a Z List Celeb in my crazy sandpit days.

Fact is Celebrity comes at a price. Why do EPL Players go to Dubai on their breaks? Because we treated them as normal peopleIF we met them. But even that is changing.

1 Million Instagram followers is the dream. Privacy then flies out the window, then the MSM get involved.

25 years away from UK I still have no idea who Jordan was (as an example) yet millions followed her every fart…

Only when you step away do you truly see how hellish the UK’s obsession with fame is
