⚰ Death

Just saw that Derek Acorah died.
Assume he’ll still do his show…

Too soon??

Always a surprise that the woo peddlers seem unable to see it coming… almost as if they are are making it all up …

Medium? He looked more like a Large to me.

I’d love it if he came to haunt you.

Don’t mock what you don’t understand!

I feel sorry for Derek Acorah’s widow.

She’ll have to live the rest of her life wondering if he’ll be waiting to tell her “I fucking told you so.”

Such cynicism ill becomes a member of this forum.:angry:

As he was a scouser I assume we need to feel very sorry for the city for a period of time?

His wife’s already been down the nash, he’s only dead in body so don’t stop his benefits…

It was either Acorah or some other charlatan whose manager I argued with (whilst I was at work) about if they had this gift why were they fleecing 1500 of £20-40 each to speak to about 10 people and then selling a candle to them for about £15.
God I was angry that night.
Also it never seems to be any of the staff working that night who get to have a message. Surely our dear departed loved ones may want to give us some news?!?

They avoided me when they were alive tbh, why would they make the effort now they’re dead?

RIP Neil Peart, 67, Brain cancer

Arguably one of the greatest drummers of all time in one of the most underrated bands (perhaps due to a snobbery towards their more chosen genres)

Like many males of a certain age who played guitar growing up, Rush was my band. Not so much a secret pleasure as one that most of my mates failed to understand.

But I’m more recent years, they finally got the Kudos they deserved, perhaps due also to being endorsed and appreciated by so many ‘cooler’ musicians and bands from Foo fighters, to RATM and Smashing Pumpkins

Rush surprized many fans by ‘retiring’ in 2015, so it now appears that this may have been driven by personal health issues.

Neil also has a pretty shitty hand dealt to him a while back when his daughter aged 19 was killed in car crash and his wife died of Cancer the same year… he took off for a year on a motor bike around the whole of North and much of South America to help with his grief. He later remarried and had a daughter who he now sadly leaves

RIP Neil. You gave me so many fond musical memories and as a pleasure to see you play live on serval occasions

I never was into Rush, but know many who love them. All the best in the void.

Derek Fowlds has passed away aged 82. I thought he was great in Yes Minister, and of course Basil Brush will be gutted.

Superb comic timing here from Derek Fowlds.

Well this is very sad, even if long-expected.
