Holger Czukay has gone to reunite the greatest ever rhythm section with Jaki, in the infinity of nothing.
Not worthy of being in Childhood TV Heroes, but the 6 Million Dollar Man’s boss, Oscar Goldman (Richard Anderson) died last week aged 91.
There is something strangely compelling about this thread… I can’t resist checking in to see who has croaked despite this being at odds with my moral sensitivities…
I think it’s a quite respectful thread. You wouldn’t want to miss the passing of some cult worthy. Only right to want to pass on your respects.
It’s bit like my mum buying the Daily Echo every day to see who she knows has died. Only you have to pay for the Echo and on here we don’t actually know the person who has died (mostly).
RSC founder Sir Peter Hall has croaked aged 86.
Sopranos and Goodfellas star Frank Vincent has died aged 78
Bloody hell, Grant Hart of Husker Du has died, only 56. The other great songwriter of my favourite band from my angry youth…

Just heard that. Made it to 91 though, which isn’t bad. Terrific actor, starred in some great films too.
Paris Texas is his standout film - one of my all time faves esp the Ry Cooder soundtrack which make the whole thing.
His understated minor role in alien was cool.
You need to watch Repo Man.

Former middleweight champion and subject of the brilliant Raging Bull, Jake LaMotta has died aged 95.
William G Stewart from the brilliant 15 to 1 has died. I loved watching that programme and was (and still am) astonished at the quality of the prizes.
Sadly gone 15 to 1 and Countdown, was staple viewing most days as I avoided doing anywork as a student
