Rocked up one evening while there was a Veterans Tournament in town at Barasti, Paul Collingwood brought him & Daniel Vettori down, sat next to us and bantered during our game while waiting for Sunderland who were on after us.
Great guy, great bantz, Colly had been down a few times and he got the beers in

Sad times. Goodfellas is one of my all time favourites and he never really escaped its orbit. Always enjoyed seeing him turn up in other stuff over the decades.

Alan White, drummer with Yes has gone, aged 72. He was the go to drummer of choice for Lennon and George Harrison, a seriously good musician. Played with Lennon’s Plastic Ono band back in the day. RIP.

My father says there is a clause in his will that states if he gets to the dribbling stage, the person who does him in gets the lot
