I mean ALL politicians going back to at least Heath

A “lack of solidarity”.

He wants to keep his mouth shut if he knows what’s good for him.

I see the football clubs are furloughing / making non-playing staff take pay cuts

Meanwhile the players…

There is actually a bit more to it, there is similar with England Cricketers on central contracts.

Officially talks need to be run through the PFA/PCA then put to the vote. Ben Stokes was tweeting that they need it done but equally they need a framework so it actually goes SOMEWHERE as groups.
As an example don’t want it going into Daniel Levy’s pocket.
Equally most players have their own favoured charities, so where do donations go to? Who decides which ones?
IF some to be used to save lower league clubs, how? How much?
What Norwich Spurs Bompey & others have done is despicable.
It has also forced matters to a head, remember, officially, football is due to restart soon. Even that has to be dealt with.
Little steps, consensus I agree with.
Greed & bad neighbourliness should be punished

BBC News - Champions League & Europa League suspended ‘until further notice’

It really is depressing isn’t it? Here we have a situation where the country is facing potentially the most devastating health crisis in living memory, led by a government who’s response to just about everything has been a mixture of desperately shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted, incompetence and incoherence on a grand scale and telling bare faced lies. Yet, in the light of all this there are still people saying, but but but ---- Jeremy Corbyn. It’s not only depressing, it’s fucking pathetic.

Two weeks ago Johnson stood up there, looked into the camera and said in two weeks we aim to be testing 250,000 people a week. Gove stood there a few days ago and informed us that we were testing 10,000 people a day. This was immediately exposed as a lie, the true number was 7,000. Just about every statement made by government ministers over the past couple of weeks has been exposed as a lie within 24 hours. WHOs mantra- test test test. Our governments mantra - lie lie lie. A tweet from our Health Minister three days ago with laughable claims about the amount of PPE and testing equipment was deleted very quickly after it was exposed as the pack of lies that it was. Gove at it again yesterday with his bullshit about a shortage of reagents, which was again refuted by the manufacturers. Germany are testing 70,000 people a day. NHS frontline staff are starting to die now, testimony from Intiniki that social workers have died after being sent out without any protection. And where is the Home Secretary, the police given unprecedented powers and she hasn’t been seen for weeks? Perhaps she’s been undergoing surgery to remove that permanent smirk on her face, it’s just not a good look at a time like this!
Everybody in the country, but especially NHS and all essential workers deserve far far better than the current headless chicken impersonators who laughably call themselves a government. Lions led by donkeys springs to mind.

Shame neither the original tweeter of this or the one goatboy posted actually listened to what she was saying, these 30 are produced by the consortium involving McClaren etc. Dyson are mentioned as a separate supplier, no details on how many they are supplying.

Gotta love breaking news in the 24/7 culture. No time to react and no time to bullshit.

How big is this fucking consortium then?

A couple of cottage industry workers and a dog?

Not sure why they think their pay cut should go somewhere- the clubs have no income. That’s why all businesses are cutting back

Maybe the clubs should just furlough the fuckers and pay them £2500 a month

Not disputing their output is a disgrace, I was more interested that in their outrage and haste to post, the original tweeters didn’t pay attention to the actual facts. I’ve no love for Dyson either, but they shouldn’t be blamed for others failures.

I personally think we all need to get a little more practical. Ventilator is not a hard piece of equipment to make. I’ve already seen DIY solutions on YouTube. They are of course, not medically ideal, but you can knock up something crude with pretty basic equipment and 3D printed materials.

I think the point being made is current british companies, who could supply more than 30 machines, are exporting their machines instead as their offer of help was turned down in favour of Dyson. I understand that these 30 are not from Dyson.

And not to mention the missing EU procurement email fiasco.
