Haven’t seen that for years :joy:

Internationals arrivals to UK will be required to have pre-departure Covid tests

18:14

All international arrivals to the UK will again be required to take pre-departure Covid-19 tests, the health secretary Sajid Javid announced.

The rule applies to all travellers visiting the UK or returning from a holiday, regardless of vaccination status, and will come into force from 4am on 7 December.

Nigeria is also being added to the travel red list, joining several southern African nations which were added after the Omicron variant was detected.

As with all these new ā€œrulesā€ there’s a time lag which allows potential carriers to rush to get into the country unchecked, and sort of defeats the object

First international travel since COVID. Relatively pleasant. All medical docs were uploadable so wasn’t dicking about with bits of paper.

US = no exemptions except for hospitality.

Hospitality it is then.

Times reporting that 90% of all Covid patients needing hospital treatment are unvaccinated and over 20% of all ICU beds are occupied by an unvaccinated Covid sufferer, meaning cancer patients are being turned away

Surely we are getting to the point where the wilful unvaccinated get second dibs on the NHS

They are beginning to affect the health and choices of others now

I saw that (whole article is behind paywall), but can’t disagree.

Can’t force them (who haven’t ended up in A&E yet) to have jabs…Unfortunately

And this is what I have been trying to point out to people who say that it has a 99.9999% survival rate.

Is not the deaths, it’s the hospitalizations, it’s the number of people who will be off work ill if it’s allowed to continue unchecked.

They think that lockdowns are bad for the economy, imagine an economy where half your workforce and customers are ill, no one to serve those that want service.

And somewhere around 20% of those unvaccinated COVID patients in ICUs are pregnant women

Seemingly good news from South Africa… Dr. John Campbell gives a quick precis of the news in the first 3 minutes…
