The kids donât know any different because the universities are not giving them choice - none of them have got creative because they cannot afford to give up the fees - they have mortgaged their futures confident that the fees gravy train will keep on chugging. They donât give a shit about the kids debt. there is too much money to be made maintaining the status quo

Whilst we donât charge the maximum allowed, ÂŁ9k, we charge ÂŁ8.9k a year as, I sissies, do most other universities.
Youâre right it is a gravy train but you also have to build new buildings to attract the students to get the money, chicken and egg situation.
