And on the other end of the spectrum
Woo hoo!
We have MEDS!
Jagollian University here have completed clinical trials of a drug to treat Covid victims
All successful & moving to volume production and available in hospitals here in 9 weeks.
More when I find a translation
I wouldnât trust any medication or vaccination thatâs been tested for such a short period of time. I wouldnât be taking that just yet.
Itâs a plasma based med. Intravenous not over the counter.
Tbh if I am sick & theres a choice between that and deathâŠ
We live in the village next to ZabierzĂłw.
Busy town. Their football team is in 3rd division, but an enclosed stadium was used by England as a training camp back in the Poland/Ukraine Euros.
Pre-season friendly with team 14kms up the road.
1 player who was in a mandatory quarantine rocked up & played and was Symptomatic with Covid-19.
He has been arrested charged with endangering life.
He faces a ÂŁ6000 fine and EIGHT years in Jail
There has been a slight Covid increase in Southampton, thatâs the bad news.
The good news is that in the last 7 days it has increased to 3 confirmed cases.
Cases per 100K of population has gone from 1.19 to 3.96.
Anyone still scared?
Having seen the Friday 13th movies, I feel that this meme is murderously unqualified.
Cheers for this. Some qualified perspective is important at this point. Actually, itâs been important at all points. Weâve just never had it from the government or the opposition.
No probs.
Covid deaths have been declining since April.
There has been a total of 167 recorded Covid deaths in Southampton. 102 in hospital, 65 in the community of which 52 were in care homes.
Recent deaths are at âexpected levels compared to previous yearsâ.
Statistically, though, We could argue that the death rate from cover may be lower despite an increase in infections as the most vulnerable and frail have already been taken⊠Its why there was a period of lower than average death rate after it fell back within normal range.
Key will be how this virus evolves⊠more infectious? more deadly? simple like flu? It will be with us for a long time time, maybe always, but sadly what it has told us is that in general we are pretty shit at working collectively / globally to resolve this sort of thing⊠which is worrying if we ever get an ebola like virus that spreads as easilyâŠ
I would like to see more data about Long Haulers.
Here we have
#total cases
#newcases daily
#deaths
#recovered
There is a big lag of recovered. Like 39% seem sick for long time.
Also means that we see 900 new cases per day ATM, but that means there is still only around 10000 sick people in 38 million.
My mate in US with Ocular Melanoma keeps on this point. His daughter caught Covid in March.
She is still Iâll.
Current symptoms similar to those of Lyme disease yet none of the meds for that work.
She is now in a group clinical study with similar sub 30 year olds whoâs lives have basically been destroyed
I was reading an article about this the other day. The government changed the way deaths are counted a few weeks ago, anyone dying after having covid for more than 28 days isnât counted in the statistics, even though many many are dying after having the virus for longer than a month. They are dying of covid, not after being run over by a bus etc, which is what Hancock seems to be suggesting. Like everything with this government, changes are made, not for legitimate medical reasons but for political reasons. They really donât give two fucks for the people, itâs all about avoiding responsibility and passing the buck. Cunts.
Article starts with story of Hannah, my mate with Ocular Melanomasâ daughter
Iâm not sure if weâve seen this report on Vitamin D levels and its effect on Covid mortality. If youâre in the âat riskâ group youâll find this interesting. Even if youâre not, find some time to watch it (32 minutes)âŠDr John Campbell is always a very good communicator and easy to understand. As a result Iâm taking a daily Vitamin D supplement.
And I am walking 6 km in the sunshine on the Helideck at lunchtime social distancing and getting vitamin D
A functioning country with policies from a civilized government who put the needs and interests of the overwhelming majority of their citizens first. While our lot are busy dismantling PHE in the middle of a pandemic, Germany is busy getting hospitals prepared for winter by training additional staff.
They are going to feel stupid when winter comes, when they realize they didnât funnel enough public cash into private accounts in the Cayman Isles and wasted it on frivolous things like doctors and nurses!
