Shame Starmer’s excellence wasn’t on show when he was CP.

Unless you count ignoring Savile or Rotherham evidence as a win.

Oh.
Shit.

Ok so this could be the blame game assassination or the greatest disaster in history caused by an inexperienced coder & NOT peer reviewed

So how unbiased do you think that article is?

The domain address gives you a clue as to the answer he is aiming for

It is a perfect example of the Assassination was the clue.

Equally, more sensible sources such as Edinburgh University are being quoted in the flood of media articles.
THOSE imply and show specific (and challenged at the time) flaws going back to Foot & Mouth & ICED death forecasts he made.

The AI machine sees a diversion but it is a pretty big target to aimat

I see the lockdown approach the same way as i see the need to do something about fucking climate change… we may not have conclusive proof /evidence, but we are much better off assuming it will help than doing fuck all…

#justbuymoretime.

Not only for health service capacity but to find something more effective than Paracetamol when we finally get it!

Just got annoyed with a FB Post from a Boris fan

Population of UK 65.64m
Deaths due to Covid 30k

Popluation Belgium 11.35
Deaths due to Covid 8415

Perhaps some things ought to be put into context

I replied.
Poland Population 38M. 14,740 CASES. 733 Deaths.
Jeez the Boris brigade then all kicked off…
I just exited with. Well, we all had the same data, some people made decisions to protect their people, some to protect their sponsors.

I feel better at least.

Apparently the story about Ferguson’s lockdown legover is over a month old, The Telegraph have obviously been sitting on it until they got the nod from Downing Street. Ferguson was starting to become a thorn in the side, questioning government actions and decision making. Now various usual suspects piling in, setting him up to be the fall guy, sadly thinking with his little head instead of his big head made it easy for them. I suppose it is an ethical improvement from murdering a scientist and then pretending it was suicide though.

I’ve seen the chart a number of times and.i can’t believe I’m interpreting it correctly.

Not only does it show that we are still experiencing a high number of new Coronavirus cases, it also doesn’t explain how lockdown for 6 weeks is not stemming the tide for a disease that has a 14-21 day incubation and infection period.

In a lockdown situation, how can we be experiencing that many new cases?

It makes me think the data are not accurate or I’m misreading the chart.

Or the impact of continued flights into Heathrow and poor lockdown discipline… I see loads of teenagers hanging out together…

Yeah, I guess.

But are we really saying that at 55 days into the crisis (since 100 cases) we are seeing nearly 5,000 new cases day?

It seems ridiculous to even consider reducing the lockdown - well to this layman anyway.

Aye but we are only now testing more people…

I read today 15000 passengers a day STILL arriving at Heathrow
No checks.

You could assume that the peak of our curve should be a lot higher in the weeks preceding day 55, like MOT says because we were so far behind on testing. I feel we will never have the full picture because of the lack of data retrieval in the early stages of the outbreak.

I can honestly never remember a time when we’ve been lied to as much, or as brazenly. I’ve lived through some mendacious times.

And a lack of PPE in health and social care.
