Brilliantā¦need a new seriesā¦
I think there is a history of BBC by Enfield on iPlayer. Havenāt seen it yet.
Itās very very good. Him and Paul Whitehouse who is brilliant as usual. Letās face it, he doesnāt have to do much to be funny.
The Testing of Eric Olthwaite is my personal fave. Guess whoās gorra new shovel?
The whole episode is brilliant
Loved the Hamster Eater, saw him at the Winter Gardens and just so funny
This is probably off-topic because the main subject of this post certainly doesnāt involve comedy genius; it involves Harry Hill.
I accidentally caught some of Junior Bake Off as I negotiated living room occupancy rights and noticed that Harry Hill was the host, still doing his tired old arm swings, still wearing that collar and I found myself pondering āis there a more tragic figure in comedy?ā.
My family tell me heās a very clever man and that he was a brain surgeon before he turned to ācomedyā. And hats off to him for an extent. He remains on prime time television, successfully betting on the notion that the public would take to a third rate, big-collared rip-off of various things his contemporaries were doing.
But I bet Matthew Keith Hall is just as sick of Harry Hill as I am. Itās like Steve Coogan being told he could only be Alan Partridge if he wants to appear on TV, and if he plays ball, heāll get a slot on Bake-Off for Nonces.
Is this the sequel?
On the saga of Harryās lawsuits, I think we have got to the Avengers Endgame episode
I think I should make this clear for doubtersā¦Lord and Lady Slowlane have not been advising Harry and Megan on their withdrawal from society.
Myself and Lady Slowlane have not been seen in public since 2021ā¦is Lockdown over yet?
Series 9 of Ed Reardonās Week is currently airing on R4. This programme just gets funnier and funnier, itās always been good but Iād now put it at the top of my radio comedy chart. Quite superb.
Went to Mark Steele āAn Evening and a Little Bit of Morningā last night at Winchester Theatre Royal. A brilliant 2 hours. Particularly the story of taking his 90 y.o mum to an Al Murray gig at Edinburgh
Just back from seeing an excellent Ivo Graham at Fareham.
