I think there is a history of BBC by Enfield on iPlayer. Haven’t seen it yet.

It’s very very good. Him and Paul Whitehouse who is brilliant as usual. Let’s face it, he doesn’t have to do much to be funny.

This is possibly my favourite. Just brilliant.

Another underrated fave. Phone Shop.

Loved the Hamster Eater, saw him at the Winter Gardens and just so funny

This is probably off-topic because the main subject of this post certainly doesn’t involve comedy genius; it involves Harry Hill.

I accidentally caught some of Junior Bake Off as I negotiated living room occupancy rights and noticed that Harry Hill was the host, still doing his tired old arm swings, still wearing that collar and I found myself pondering ā€œis there a more tragic figure in comedy?ā€.

My family tell me he’s a very clever man and that he was a brain surgeon before he turned to ā€œcomedyā€. And hats off to him for an extent. He remains on prime time television, successfully betting on the notion that the public would take to a third rate, big-collared rip-off of various things his contemporaries were doing.

But I bet Matthew Keith Hall is just as sick of Harry Hill as I am. It’s like Steve Coogan being told he could only be Alan Partridge if he wants to appear on TV, and if he plays ball, he’ll get a slot on Bake-Off for Nonces.

I’ve seen the Harry and Meghan South Park episode.

Pretty brutal

Is this the sequel?

On the saga of Harry’s lawsuits, I think we have got to the Avengers Endgame episode

I think I should make this clear for doubters…Lord and Lady Slowlane have not been advising Harry and Megan on their withdrawal from society.
Myself and Lady Slowlane have not been seen in public since 2021…is Lockdown over yet?

Series 9 of Ed Reardon’s Week is currently airing on R4. This programme just gets funnier and funnier, it’s always been good but I’d now put it at the top of my radio comedy chart. Quite superb.

Went to Mark Steele ā€œAn Evening and a Little Bit of Morningā€ last night at Winchester Theatre Royal. A brilliant 2 hours. Particularly the story of taking his 90 y.o mum to an Al Murray gig at Edinburgh
