In your breaks from your fryer you should get Mick to go sort them out…
I doubt it is a coincidence either that the gallery on the official site with photos from training has Bertrand on the ‘cover’ and is all smiles. I need to get a job in PR I reckon. Looks well easy!
Need to get a lesson in how to sort your links out too
I had a feeling that would be the response! I actually tried to be big and clever and imbed the twitter link, assuming the pretty picture would show up all nice like yours
Go on then, I’m all ears…
I get what you’re saying but wouldn’t the club just put some other ‘happy patsy’ up for interviews if Berty was throwing a strop? Surely journos don’t get to choose who they interview? The club just say “JWP’s available for the next round of media interviews, take it or leave it”.
What can I say, I’m a glass half full kind of guy.
Like this??
Click on the little blue bird icon, paste link in Tweet URL field, click “get tweet code” button, click OK button.
I’m actually sure @pap could automate this process
Lovely darts. Cheers!
Now you need to show me how to post links from an iphone!
I dont know Os. Playing devils advocate perhaps they told Berty to say something postive to shut the negative stuff about him down for now? Let’s hope it is all good. I dont doubt for one moment that shit has gone on behind closed doors, not just with Claude but with every manager at times. In fact I would be unhappy if things didnt kick off when things werent going well. It is how they all react that is important. As for Claude being on borrowed time - I can only see that happening if he really is at major loggerheads with the players. I cant see the club sacking him down to performances this season.
Please give us a summary, he’s a lovely chap but I need to drive in the next hour and I don’t want to be drowsy.
“Policies of the club”
Gamble sign and bring on youth, say yes and make the tea.
Propaganda and his job is quite rightly under review, Saint won’t believe it though as he’ll want a quote written in the King James Bible and the Guardian…
basically he said people should be grateful and that the moaners can fuck off
Thanks for canonising me Barry, but i’m not dead yet. King James Bible and the Guardian? Are you Tim Farron?
Nothing wrong with a review. It happens at every club, every year. Policies of the club are hardly Puels fault are they? Do you really believe they pay him all that money to make tea?
And who is reviewing his job Barry, the club heirarchy (who according to KBilly think he has done a good job) or the fans?
He is a dead man walking, we’ve gone backwards in results, performance and entertainment.
The club have hardly come out and supported him have they?
Which kinda backs up that they support him.
Normally when a club publicly declares their support, it means somethings up. Hearing nothing from the board is a show of support in itself
Pretty much every manager in the league is a dead man walking these days, not many safe jobs even if you’re ‘doing well’.
We have not gained as many league points as last year that’s true, but for me that’s not a reason to get rid, unless you are stuck in the relegation places. It would be impossible to continually perform better and better season after season from a results perspective, there will always come a time where you will go backwards, how far back is the most important factor for me. From my perspective, if we took 3 steps forwards under Koeman, under Puel we have taken one step back. Would have been 2 steps back considering we haven’t qualified for Europe this season but I added a step for getting us to a cup final.
Performance and entertainment lacking I agree with you on, I can count on one hand the amount of times I have been at a match this season and been entertained. Had we been languishing in the bottom half or not had a decent cup run I would probably be in the Puel out camp too.
With regard to the board, I don’t see any reason why they need to justify themselves to media speculation, and besides, even if they came out and said his job was safe it would likely be spun 5 different ways by the media. I am quite happy for the board to conduct these matters behind closed doors.
I like the argument in the Echo that goes 'with all the top 7 teams dominating" When did it become 7? Next year with West Brom above us it will be 'With all the top 8 teams dominating" Then when West Ham, CP and bournmouth go above us it will be 'With all the top 11 teams dominating this season Saints have done well to finish 12th
There is a healthy allways look on the bright side of life attitude and there is obvious self delusion.
I guess when you’re paying £30m for players then you’re in a different league and that’s what the current top 7 have done.
We’ve gone backwards and the team is underperforming under this manager, that by the very nature of the job puts him in the firing line.
I don’t feel comfortable with him in charge.
