Yep - Bazunu has had some practice picking balls out of the net - he’ll do fine at Anfield
With all your security working and a VPN IF you get slow streams try this place. Yeah it is a mess on the home page but there is a link on left for Championship then when you get to the link look for the word Angielska - English - I had a choice of BeIn & Sky in HD and no buffering - who else watches English feeds on a Polish site!
Play like that again and we’ll scrape 3rd in the table and end up with the 6th placed club getting promoted…
Who is the foreign bird doing the anfter match interviews ? The Brizzle lads are really having to concentrate
I honestly think we went there tonight thinking it would be a walkover. It’ll be a big wake-up call. Hopefully everyone has learnt something tonight. We were 2nd best at everything tonight and the worst bit was we didn’t really look up for it either. Cocky and arrogant if I’m being honest. Very poor show
Cocky and arrogant or just jaded?
We looked knackered out there
Agreed
But we had 4 changes in the starting line up - their legs should have been fresh?
Russell just said he was looking forward to watching that back again
He is certifiable
Much tougher game on Fri…
In theory - I reckon there was a mental aspect here
It was fucking mental
First time that midfield has started and it showed. We miss Downes. Cover isnt there, so we leave too much space. I’d put Stephens in as a DM emergency when Downes doesnt play.
Having slept on it … my reflection is that it was like watching One Man and His Dog. We wanted to slowly shepherd them into the 18 yard box and then try to play through 11 players all jammed into one sheep pen. It was slow and ponderous. When we occasionally played more zip, things looked better but that didnt happen enough. Edozie spent the first half running around like a headless chicken. It’s almost like we got a taste of our own medicine tonight ? The play always seems to start from the midfield and tonight Smallbone wasn’t good enough in the centre of the park. His positioning was very poor (often behind the BC players) so it forced JB and THB to play risky passes that often broke down. I agree … we look worse without Downes and that’s a big issue moving forward if we lose him again. Hey ho, Big Russ wasn’t too moved so we just look forward to Friday
I’ve thought about the game in the cold light of day. It turned on a couple of moments. Edozie’s looped volley landed on the bar rather than just under it like on Saturday for Hudders 3rd goal. And Brooks was within an inch of scoring but instead crashed into the post and damaged himself. If after that we’d been one or two up it would have settled us, but instead we went behind and got more anxious and error-prone. But City played well and exposed weaknesses. They got in behind our full backs too easily. I think Martin has to take some blame as you could sense that after Huddersfield came at us on Saturday and forced errors, the team seemed to be over-cautious, too slow and lacking bravery and trying, for example, the long through ball. But we had no Stu A to play the clever ball and no Adams and no Downes to control midfield. They have to be more aggressive, brave and fast on Friday.
