Are you contending that nato planes never fly in Russian airspace? And nato ships never in Russian waters? Or Chinese? This really is no big deal, unless one is desperate to see “Russian aggression” where none exists. Relax. The least of our problems at the moment is imaginary Russian aggression.

If I hadn’t signed the Official Secrets Act I could have told you I used to convert conventional mapping of The Soviet Union to Radar Map Matching for Allied strike aircraft. However I did sign the Secrets Act so that never happened.

Let’s face it, Russia or nato, both sides do it, it’s just a game. It only become an issue for those who are desperate to paint one side as baddies and our lot as whiter than white. It’s realpolitik, propaganda. Not to be taken seriously by grown ups.

NATO isn’t the RAF is it so quite why you’re putting that into the equation is deemed to me as desperation as opposed to relevance.

The bold numbers in blue are the minimum height at which you can fly you can fly without the risk of hitting a transmission pylon or radio mast or hill. Coverage of populated areas of the old Soviet Union was very good.

Has anyone mentioned the RAF Typhoons based in Lithuanian that fly through the Russian conclave airspace?
Or those from Cyprus that test the contested airspace in the Black Sea?
Or does he think they are all based at Stansted in case of drunken Ryanair Passengers?

Are they again at NATO’S behest or on RAF missions?
