PEH was sick this morning so only on the bench

Yeah, that puts it very nicely. Stephens is good on the ball and plays some great passes, but on far too many occasions he’s gone for a clever pass and sent it straight to an opponent, when a safe, simple pass was entirely possible. Focus and judgement.

Can’t believe that the commentator on my stream thought that that Che Adams ā€œtackleā€ was a red card.

Said if the ref had seen it in slo-mo then he would have given a red, we all know that slo-mo makes things look worse…

Who is the Jock co-tayer?

This is so made for a late Boufal…

David someone or other…

Now saying that the Burnley player (who took Bertrand out) was playing the ball and it was accidental and he didn’t have a chance to pull out of the challenge :man_shrugging::man_shrugging:

He’s been an anti Saint for as long as I have heard him commentate

Boufal, Djenepo and Obafemi all to come on at the same time, on the 70 minute mark.
See how fit the Burnley players arešŸ˜‚

It’s a good bench. We all know both players can deliver. It’s just that Boufal has normally been bollocks. I feel privileged to have seen one of his great Southampton moments with my own eyes. They are few and far between.

Saying that, Ralph put him on that bench for a reason; to change games. Hojberg mightn’t do that as flamboyantly, but he does do it more consistently.

Vestergaard lost the long high ball in the air.

Obafemi on for Ings

Then the ball went through Gunn’s legs.

Jeez
Obafemi ran completely out of position and boom.
