:brexit: Brexit - The Ramifications

“Tirade of unsubstantiated negativity”?

And it took you all night to come up with that put down Pap?

Ok. Let’s go history 1:01. You may recall Goat recommended a book called The Silk Road by Peter Fra kopan. That actually pulls together a lot of strands and is very well referenced. Start there for substantiation. There are plenty of other sourced if you choose to look or would you rather give me a put down? I guess it comes easier?

I don’t disagree that loss off power was exacerbated at the end of the world wars, but you need to read more into the causes and downright shoddy politics going on prior to those conflicts. It’s bigger than the plucky Brits giving hitler a bloody nose - though I’m not saying that wasn’t needed.

Leaving the EU may as you say put more power in the hands of voters, but what will they have left to vote for? Is Brexit really going to take us to the promised land.

Carry on dreaming and putting me down because I dare to have a different view to you. I respect that you have a different view so do me the same.

If pap is srs about driving down house prices I will be v.angar with him cos I just bought new house :lou_angry:

On other hand, if Areola Grandee is srs that I have to remove the doors from my house so everyone can have free movement, I will not be v.keen on him either, because I like to walk around Naked.

Who wants global influenence anyway??

What does is get us except for our politicians feeling important at the UN security council?

Norway don’t have global influence, Finland don’t have global influence, nor does liechenstien, australia, bermuda, or a fuck load of other countries, however they are prosperous and their populations do alright.

Global influence means having to spunk £9bn on two shitty aircraft carriers, which if we ever get planes and go to war, will probably be sunk within the first 24 hours because ever missile our enemy owns will be pointed at them.

Name one time in the last 30 years that we have used our global influence and not fucked it up?

Umm, there was that time…no wait

How about when we, umm…no, not then either.

Ummmmm, nope, give up…

Our military intervention in Sierra Leone?

The upcoming EU anti tax-avoidance measures are the reason the most vocal hard Brexiters want to walk away without a deal. The likes of Rees Mogg and his old Etonian classmate James Pockney who are involved in tax avoidance through their companies in the Cayman islands. Like wise Andrea Leadsome’s husband and brotherin law, Benjamin Leadsome and Peter de Pruton who run Guernsey and Malta bases hedge fund companies. James Mellon, Lord Edmiston, one of the biggest funders of the leave campaign, The Barclay brothers, secretive owners of the Telegraph who run ever increasingly hysterical anti-Europe articles, Lord Magan, the former Conservative party Chairman and financial backer of Ian Duncan Smith, a director of a yacht fim based in Jersey, described as being set up to help clients who want to employ their staff through an offshore firm. The paradise papers state that the EU’s forthcoming regulations which will adopt rules forcing yacht owners to pay social security contributions to their crew means that these people are trying to recruit through exempt companies. Arron Banks, another tax avoiding large donor to the leave campaign is another. The list goes on and on. These people do not give a toss for what is good and what is not for the country. The sole reason these scumbags desperately want to leave and are throwing vast sums at the leave campaign, and would support walking away with no deal is the upcoming EU anti tax avoidance measures, which is why they do not want to be bound by EU legislation during a transition period. The only way these loons can achieve their objective is to force a “no deal”.

These people, and the likes of Gove, Johnson, Fox, Rees Mogg, Davis et all, these are the people Pap is aligning himself with. Truly bizarre. They must get down on their knees every night and thank whichever God they pray to for such working class heroes doing their bidding.

I believe the current in vogue expression is ‘Unicorn Chasing’ :lou_wink:

Eastern Europeans in the work force has dropped by 5%, but the jobless rate rises and real wages shrink.

Supply and demand ain’t all it’s cracked up to be.

I’ve always found it amusing that those that term stuff as fantasy have generally lost the plot

You spoke about chasing unicorns earlier, Nottarf. Is espousing untruths part of all that?

Do you reckon any of them Tories are going to be happy with the plebs getting paid more? Which bits of my avowedly lexit post are they aligned with?

Yes, yes. Those people may want a Brexit, but your McCarthyist guilt by association tactics aren’t going to change minds, least of all mine.

The post is doing very well on Facebook, thanks.

Lots of things do very well on Facebook but I wouldn’t say that validated them or the person that posted it (in the grand scheme of things).

My mate once did a poo that looked like the alien ‘Alf’ from the popular 80’s sitcom of the same name, he took a picture of it and that did very well on Facebook too, got about 100 likes if I remember rightly. Doesn’t really relate to my point but it’s a nice story and it really did look like Alf.

Who the fuck looks at their poos after they’ve left their body?

I do, in the hope that one day I will deposit something that resembles a famous celebrity and I can photograph it and have something strong to post when I make my spectacular return to Facebook :lou_wink_2:

If you don’t check your poo do you ‘blind wipe’ too Bob?

Lost the plot? Possibly, but not delusional, so that’s a bonus.

Would you prefer if i called it a wish list?

Now, back to the question. Do you believe house prices and availability for the young and poor will change in a positive way once we have departed the evil, house price inflator, that is the EU?

232 pages of denial and fantasy of we’re staying…

were you planning on finishing that sentence with the word ‘up’?

Interesting productivity is the highest its been for 10 years. Obviously we have been living with the misconception that the Eastern Europeans work hard - the feckless bastards.

I am really not happy with you using the word delusional - it is offensive to the deluded
