Again - that was the point.
When I gave my itinerary at Heathrow that I was visiting Liverpool, the custom’s agent literally said, “why would you want to go to that shithole…”
That is - what is NORTH England seems to be relative to just how far SOUTH in England you are.
I know with most Yanks, if they make a social faux pas or say something impolite, you’re used to chalking it up to their general ignorance of the customs and traditions of your country.

Yeah, I noticed that. I did assume that if he is ignorant in knowing himself, his opinion on the ignorance of others is fairly suspect, as well.
But, knowing my ignorance in how the English use language, I thought it might be one of those English things where you say the opposite you mean about a person… like calling someone, “quite charming,” when you really mean, “he is a total asshole.”
You are not a people who always speaks plainly, now are you?
Anyhow, Tigger seems quite intelligent, to me, so I guess we’ll wait for him to contribute his thoughts.

I always find it remarkable when people on the Internet claim they don’t give a rat’s ass about the topic they’re engaging with.
You know how I usually know I have no fucks to give about what someone else has posted?
Because I don’t respond - at all.
But maybe that is some other cultural thing I don’t understand about the English. Maybe you only engage in topics you have no interest in. I suppose that could be the case.
It’s possible to be interested in a topic but not give a fuck about someone else’s opinion on said topic.
