Quick shut the poll, there is a 1% swing to remain, cancel Brexit it’s official!
Where’s the option for dirty protest?
Might want to do some fact checking before posting this kind of thing Pap. Both Denmark and Sweden voted not to join the Euro and…didn’t join the Euro (although Sweden intends to join in the future). Your mate Eddie’s pedalling porkies.
The EU’s mask has certainly slipped during the process of these negotiations. It’s a special brew of dictatorial hypocrisy that I don’t think has gone down very well with the British public.
It appears that the EU’s Fourth Railway Package is getting imposed on Norway. Industrial action ahoy.
Have a read of the article linked. The EU are not imposing it.
Eddie seems to be working to an agenda (being fair to him impose wasn’t his choice of word). I wouldn’t trust him if i was you.
hmmm
Since Norway is a member of the EU’s European Economic Area it’s generally expected to go along with EU regulations.
So not “imposing” but “imposing” then you say tomato I say tomato (but in a slightly different way)
Not really any evidence of “imposing”.
“Norway’s decison to accept the EU rules, even though Norway is not a member of the EU”
It’s an article that only looks at it from one perspective(common enough i know) and gives no evidence to back it up. I don’t know why the Norwegian government are doing what they’re doing, but the article doesn’t help anyone understand and doesn’t really show anything about the EU.
So we’ve got a potential deal on the table. Turns out that all you had to do to get a potentially favourable deal is say you’ll walk away with no deal.
Anyone that knows how negotiations work knows that neither side are going to present acceptable terms first.
They know they’re going to have to give ground, so in order to not give any ground, they make new ground that they do not give a fuck about losing, largely because they never expected to get it in the first place.
In short, both sides take the piss to begin with,
The idea that Stormont, an assembly that has not sat for three years, should have veto power over proceedings is perhaps one of these piss-takes, now probably off the table.
Well no, not if you plan for a ‘collaborative’ negotiation (integrative negotiation) from the outset… which would have been the case if the whole thing had not been turned into an internal power pissing contest, ( distributive negotiation) which made us look like twats… but appeals to those that think its about ‘winning’ and beating horrid foreigners…Playground tactics as opposed to statesmanlike diplomacy… but then again, given we retain a parliament that seems to act like a bunch of braying clowns all the time anyway it was too be expected…
Had we entered the negotiations using the more mutual gains collaborative approach, with out shoe power hungry and or/ disruptive cunts we would have had deal 2 years ago and we would have been saved from having other cunts like Farage being back in the spotlight or Boris becoming pm to our eternal embarrassment…
That is a really desperate take on today’s reports, hilarious. Have you considered applying for the job of Johnson’s spin doctor? If the reports are true, and that is a big if as nothing Johnson says or does can be relied on to be true, there has only been one side who has caved and it’s not the EU. We could have had this deal a couple of years ago when May proposed the exact same thing, what a waste of time and money. It appears that Johnson is trying to resurrect a version of May’s ‘customs partnership’, which would see N I effectively remain in the EU customs union, but still be included in UK trade deals. Your man Johnson, when May floated the idea last year, branded it “a crazy system whereby you end up collecting tariffs on behalf of the EU at the UK frontier” The ERG passed an amendment, in the summer of 2018, preventing a different customs arrangement for NI. Jacob Rees Mogg, then head of the ERG, now a cabinet minister and a Johnson ally said of the partnership proposal," It’s completely cretinous, the silliest thing i could possibly think of, it’s a betrayal of good sense". Haha. If true, the only ones giving ground here, blinking first if you like, are the UK. One look at the headlines should tell you that, ’ Boris Johnson hints at major Brexit climbdown’, ‘Johnson hints at major concession to the EU’, ‘Johnson’s U-turn’, etc etc. So, well surrendered Boris, he will save Brexit by doing what he mocked May for doing months ago. She must be howling with laughter.
But, personally i will be taking it all with a large pinch of salt, Johnson could easily be playing games to run down the clock. I would love to see Arlene and the DUP bigots brigade getting shafted though.
…sadly there re probably a few billion reasons why he would do so… yet those who voted Brexit won’t care as long as he delivers hey…
Brexit: proudly democratic route to enable the Tory elite to get away with corruption on a massive scale, and be able to call it ‘the will of the people’ - they may be cunts, but they are fucking clever cunts
We’ll have to see, won’t we?
If we end up with anything better than May’s deal, the EU has caved.
Anything else was impossible six months ago.
Strangely the remainers have done everything they can to scupper a deal like the hard right as their ideology won’t allow them to accept Brexit.
Accept that as its there for all to see, anyway strangely and ironically if we get a deal that said cunt Farage will have played a part, the threat of him gaining real power in Westminster would have pushed the more sensible of both sides into a conciliatory mode.
I’d like a centre ground Brexit with as much consensus as possible, the frothing remainers and brexiters will just have to fuck off back to the shadows.
Most tories aren’t scared of Brexit, they’re scared of losing their seats to Liberals and the Brexit Party, lets get that straight right away, they’re party first Country second.
Also there a great deal of centrist tories who are extremely pro EU.
Reactionary and populist politics are the order of the day as the mainstream parties are too broadchurch, Blair’s Labour and one nation Cameron’s tories for 2 prime examples.
The DUP’s goose was cooked when they lost their majority, their not soft though, they knew they were only important until they were disposable, that is the way Northern Irish Unionist politics has always been.
As long as a border vote isn’t on the horizon the Unionists will be happy, Dublin will be happy and so will most of the people on the Island of Ireland.
If Johnson gets a majority to do a deal then he can get a majority to overturn any legislatio or amendments that prevent that deal happening including the ERG ones
The usual from the EU.

This is what happens when you become lobotomised by a diet of right wing media and the lies they spout. Plenty more out there like this young gentleman, sadly. Very very funny though!
