I still voted Labour, but its worth remembering the context - and why so many people didn’t. The Tories were made to look like the only democrats on the ballot. They had a lot of help.
Rather depressingly, it looks like Boris and pals are planning another general election. Fixed Term Parliaments finally looks like it’s getting killed this week.
It will be interesting to see what happens if he’s still in place come the next election. For all the media mouth frothing whenever he puts his foot in it (again) my guess is that most people aren’t as bothered about the verbal gaffes as the media would have us believe, given the overwhelming enormity of what he’s had to deal with. He shouldn’t be PM, never should have been, but the voices whining about that now never seem to stop and reflect on how and why he got there and the crucial part they played in that.
I think the local elections will be interesting
If it’s a blood bath for the Tories - l think it will be - then the knives will come out
You’re right, that’s the first indicator on the horizon for sure.
Nothing surprises me about this Govt these days.
Well at least it’s encrypted and it’s not all sent via the Boris Buffering Buffoon protocol.
This is true. Mind you the article says there’s no permanent records of conversations. Not exactly good government.
This is the issue of course. Let’s face it, this is corruption, showing contempt for democratic accountability. But as you say, nothing should surprise anybody any more, it’s what they are. People are just worn down with it all, the constant lies and greed, doling out countless millions to their friends and donors, the naked hypocrisy, nobody seems to care anymore, it’s accepted as the new normal and people just shrug their shoulders and carry on. I do wonder how it will all end though, there surely must be a straw that will break the camel’s back. They know it’s coming which is why they are pushing through this new policing bill which will nip any serious protests in the bud. A government of vile human beings.
lol
Seems the man is getting even more desperate to try anything to cling on to power
Could be nearly time to close this thread.
Took one look at his head and declared it a disaster area.

Bullshitters in a china shop.
Hmmm making 90k redundant to help the cost of living crisis. Johnson’s lack of self awareness is stunning.
