Really interesting to have it broken down like that. All it does for me is just confirm what i worked out a long time ago, but people don’t want to hear it because they don’t want to face up to the implications of what this means. The sort of Brexit that people thought they were voting for is light years away from the sort of Brexit Johnson, Dominic Cummings and co have in store for us. Especially Dominic Cummings,( just what was he doing in Russia from 1994 -1997)? Cummings is making all the decisions in No10, as was shown today with his sacking of the Chancellor’s advisor, without telling Javid. He is effectively Prime Minister to all intents and purposes. Boris’ talent is as front man, giving 3 minute interviews to Sky News where he looks straight in the camera and answers every question with a bare faced lie. But he get’s away with it, plenty of people love him for it, they know he is telling them whoppers but they don’t mind. He’s ‘good old Boris’. Worth his weight in gold to the likes of Cummings, Moggy, Bannon and other assorted sinisters, here and abroad who are running the show now, making the decisions. Evil bunch of bastards they may be, but they are playing a blinder, running rings around MPs, on all sides, not all of them remainers, people calling for protests, going to law to try and stop him, they are all being played like a fiddle by Cummings and co.
What they really want is an election, Johnson is champing at the bit for one, just to satisfy his ego. But they want it on their terms. The dream scenario for them would be a vote of no confidence, with Johnson losing. Then he can stand up, Parliament are stopping ‘the will of the people’, i represent the people against these charlatan Parliamentarians, vote for me. And hordes of them will. Thankfully Corbyn, despite coming under serious pressure to call a VONC, clearly isn’t keen on doing so. I’m sure he recognizes a trap when he sees one. So Johnson and co will probably have to hope that Gina Miller and the rest of the useful idiots have success in the courts, he would probably settle for that actually. Standing on the steps of No 10, The will of the people being thwarted by Gina Miller, take a look at her folks, i’m on your side, vote for me!
The best thing Gina Miller, Major, Stephen fucking Fry, Hestletine and the rest of them could do is stop enabling him, force him to confront his lies. He tells us he has a plan, people campaigning against Brexit are undermining him in the EU, stopping him negotiating his plan, so a no deal Brexit will be their fault. Even though there is no plan, no intentions of negotiating, unless he can negotiate for both sides, with that arrogance and sense of entitlement which is a trait of Old Etonians and English upper classes, he really does believe that he should be allowed to make demands which he knows are unacceptable, and then blame them for being intransigent. Stand back, stop the silly hysteria, going to law etc, call his bluff. ‘OK, you have a plan, go and negotiate it’ Then stand back and watch. Because the only plan is a clean break no deal Brexit, and always has been from the get go. Farage made that quite clear just the other day. Some of the ERG saying, aah, even if you get a change to the backstop there are other things in the WA we want changed as well. There is no intention to negotiate anything. Force him to confront his lies and don’t give him any reasons to blame a third party, make him own it when the shit really hits the fan. Which it will, sooner rather than later i feel…
A couple of days old, but where we’ve been very deliberately led.
Quite shocking that so many still refuse to see what’s happening.
Hmm, and here was me thinking @saintbletch didn’t do Brexit, the cheeky little beggar.
I’ve no love for Johnson. He’s a complete fucking opportunist.
Cummings is a clever fucker, whether you like his methods or not. The reason he is so striking is because I don’t think we’ve had anyone particularly clever near to Number 10 for some time.
Apparently, he’s a ruthless cunt in the abstract, but on a personal level, treats people well. You don’t have to like what he stands for, bur just compare him with what we had. Let’s do a quick rundown of the former SPADs.
- Gavin Barwell - top “quality”, unfailing loyalty to Theresa May after losing his Parliamentary seat in the 2017 election. Was minister of housing in an era when no-one can get housing, may have presided over decisions that led to Grenfell. Previously, was publicly embarrassed when he called out Labour for advertising “date Muslim women” sites, when Labour knocked back with the grim fact that Google’s adverts were personally targeted based on previous activity. Oops.
- Fiona Hill and Nick Timothy - according to Tim Shipman, utterly reviled by most people they dealt with, a pair of bulles that would openly refer to the chancellor as a cunt, shipped out after their advice led to the Tories losing 20 points and gaining a minority government. These people were Theresa May’s brain, apparently.
- Craig Oliver - Cameron’s right hand man during the referendum, brought in to replace the last decent SPAD they had. Utterly failed to take the pulse of the public. Spent much of the referendum campaign complaining to the BBC.
Compared to those useless cunts, Cummings looks like Moriarty.
So Cummings had javids advisor, a highly thought of young Asian woman, frogmarched out of no 10 by an armed policeman, after demanding she give him her private mobile phone, without even telling her boss, but in your book, on a personal level he treats people well. Come on! Cummings is a nasty extreme right wing bullying zealot with contempt for democracy. Why on earth are you praising and defending him? Because he is clever? Fuck me, history is littered with the dregs of humanity who happened to be clever.
You really think so?
He’s really not(except in a weird authoritarian kind of way, but you’d have to dumb it down to trump levels)
The list of shit shows only one constant and you’re backing it to the hilt. Don’t deny afterwards.
Apart from that it says nothing we didn’t already know(apart from the gullibility of the electorate) concerning what it is to be a Tory.
So back to sovereignty(keep hearing it, so there must be a reason), which is so important for a certain argument. Who holds it and what was their vote on “no deal”? You never answered.
Then ask yourself why you’re championing a man of the far right with no mandate to defy the will of the house, which we’ve already agreed is a higher authority.
So what are you left with?
No one knows the background to why he fired Javids advisor except that when Boris took over, Cummins declared war on those who leaked and he would make examples of those who did
Maybe something happened here( although they did confirm it wasn’t the prorogue leak)
The fact that Khan is young, female and Asian is not germane to the situation.
The fact that she was allegedly briefing against her employers probably was.
It is alleged that she leaked the Operation Yellowhammer stuff.
Is it ok to sack and have someone frogmarched out by a police officer for ‘alleged’ wrongdoing? Sounds a touch on the cunty side to me.
To be fair, the copper is a new touch.
Just this year, I’ve seen my former boss come in for an employment tribunal and been followed about by someone continuously. He was on suspicion of leaking commercial information. He lost the tribunal.
The point is that if it is cunty, it is widespread and nothing special.
I think No 10 and others have categorially denied she had anything to do with that.
Cunty may be widespread in the private sector, but in my experience this sort of thing is pretty unusual for civil servants. I don’t know what the Treasury’s internal policies are like, but if they are similar to other departments then firing her on the spot without another colleague and an HR Business Partner in attendance is a complete breach of procedure.
Just read that she may have been briefing spreadsheet Phil
I suspect the police officer is standard once your security clearance is revoked and you are in No 10
Thought the same, but I suspect the terms of engagement are different - like being self employed
Sacking someone on the spot for alleged wrong doing? Surely an investigation to confirm would be good practice. Also wouldn’t it be the boss who does the sacking and not some “advisor”.
This was kind of my thinking. Still, nice to know who is really in charge.
All special advisor serve at the pleasure of the PM, not the ministers
Publicly alleged. Privately, they may have more.
Let’s remember that it is Khan and her allies that have made this news. No-one else.
Can you explain this please.
Khan and her allies sounds rather odd and she’s not the only person the self employed(contact ends on 1st November. Why?) far right eugenics fan has had sacked.
Why has an unelected man of the far right been allowed to run the country(and i don’t mean the self centered idiot Al Pfeffel) and why are supposed socialists backing him?
It’s all very 1930’s Germany, if you’ve ever bothered reading accounts of that time.
When you start crapping on about eugenics and 1930s Germany any point you were trying to make is lost because I have already written it off
Lay off the hyperbole and you will make your point far more effectively
