Tuesday 8th May - Swansea vs Saints

Huddersfield could go.

I feel slightly better about our plight today. We’re still shit but we might get to be shit in the premier league for another season. We cannot defend, even with three CB, so we should just play all out attack.

Weird day in the pub started with a broken stag party ended 1st half as Billy no Mates ended with pub singing owts and 3 other Saints fans

Phew!! Good stuff all round today. Good effort from team and good support and atmosphere today. Players looked very relieved at the end there!!

What a difference when Tadic plays well. Good effort from (most) players and fans today.

Lemina surprised me by playing well and looking like he cared a bit and not giving the ball away for a goal.

McCarthy and Tadic can share MOM as far as I’m concerned.

Redmond shouldnt be playing.

We need a whole new defence.

Bednarek and yoshi did ok but Hoedt is a liability and the less said about our full backs the better.

We need to abolish this moneyball shit as that is what got us into this shit, buy experienced quality with little sell on value alongside others learning, look at Huth for example, the players are out there. Buying 222-25 years is all well and good for the board and investors but it isn’t good for the club and fans.

Huth. Lol.

Wasn’t this what we did when we went down in 2005?

Fucking Redmond. His passing reminds me of my golf swing. The balls never ends up where I aim it.

Tadic was brilliant. Has been getting better ever since Hughes arrived but today was excellent. Lemons was a close second and McCarthief was obviously class.

Great day out for once, the gin will be opened later for that other rare treat, watching MOTD

Hey, I’ve just realised, I don’t have to start the next match day thread…

Just watched some highlights, that McCarthy save at the end is even better especially as the shot took a deflection…

McCarthy had his best game for us today and the timing is perfect. Our defence is all over the place, so a keeper that can do what McCarthy did today, will help settle them(small difference, but important). A couple of clearances from corners were also very important, but rightfully overshadowed by his saves.

I think he works well with Yoshida and possibly Hoedt, the man with no balance, so needs cover for any ball behind(yoga and ballet lessons badly needed), but more importantly, if he can help settle the young Pole, i see a big benefit as he seems mobile enough to cover Hoedt.

Oi! I do the golf shit on here

I didn’t see it, but we’re still in with a chance. From the reports the players were quite emotional at the end. Which might counter the bollocks that they don’t care. I still think we’re favourites for relegation, but I’m not sure Huddersfield will get another point and West Ham should be worried. The Swansea game is HUGE.
