Band you wish you had seen/want to see

No they could have been a band still formed when you had the chance to see them. So if you where 20 when the Beatles where around but missed out, then you can say the Beatles. But I could not as they were long gone by the time I was old enough to see them!

The most annoying is that Avenged Sevenfold are one of my favourite bands, in my top 4 for sure, but will they tour over in the UKā€¦ Nope!

Bletch and I would like to see ā€œMy Brightest Diamondā€ and ā€œAndrew Birdā€ :lou_lol:

Amen to that 'slowlane.

Iā€™m not really sure I understand the premise of this thread any more, but Iā€™ll throw some petrol onto Simoā€™s fire.

Pixies

The Clash

The Smiths (saw Morrissey but not The Smiths)

Darren Hanlon (just doesnā€™t seem to tour the UK anymore)

Bob Marley

Neutral Milk Hotel

Queen with Adam lambert, Dave Gilmore anf Fish on his last tour as that album was phenomenal and I wish Iā€™d seen the high woods suite live.

Seen most other bands thankfully. Not sure Iā€™d want to see an axel rose fronted ac Dc .

The Horrors, cannot believe I forgot them! I have I suppose seen them when they supported MUSE in Copenhagen, but I did not know who they were, it was only their first album which was crap! I only knew who they were after Primary Colours was released.

Mine are

Pink Floyd

Queen

Def Lepard

Red Hot Chilli Peppers

Put me down for The Specials and The Jam too.

Disclaimer - I canā€™t make these wishes happen.

The band & person I want to see live are the Corrs & Adele.:sunglasses:

Def Leppard, Whitenake and Black Star Riders ( Thin Lizzy) tend to do Xmas gigs together - well worth going to see then - last year was absolutely fantastic . y first gig fr 20 years + and it was amazing

Was lucky enough to see Whitesnake in the mayflower in Southampton a few years back

Pretty sure Iā€™ve virtually ticked through all of my list. In fact, from looking at my Last.fm profile, it appears Iā€™ve seen all but 3 of my top 50 most listened to artists (and one of those is playing a festival Iā€™m at in a couple of weeks). Weezer were certainly elusive for a while but have seen them 4 or 5 times now.

Hmmā€¦

  • Garbage

  • System of a Down

Thatā€™s it!

Oh fuck SOAD! I forgot them! Dam!

Oh another one, a band that have managed not to see, even though they were formed the year I left school in 1991ā€¦ Machine Head.

Thereā€™s one that I really want to see, but can never see.

Bon Scott era AC/DC, when the vast majority of their songs were good and they were touring smaller venues. I am very pleased to have seen them in 1991, and I watch quite a lot of their performances from back in the day. As a bonus, Iā€™d also get to enjoy Health & Safety rules of the 1970s, like being able to smoke in a pub, or score acid in the bogs.

The one band I really, but not really, feel I missed out on is Guns n Roses. They are famously inconsistent live. Even their best gig is nowhere near studio quality. Most bands of distinction either equal or better their recorded performances.

Skid Row were a bit like that. Brilliant album sound, marred by the fact that Sebastian Bach just couldnā€™t pull it off live (oo-er missus). Too much time in the studio, I reckon. The equivalent of stuffing a foil-wrapped cucumber down your trouser leg. Mostly, itā€™s impressive - but you always get found out.

I had a chance to see them :slight_frown:

Pixies 1989

A month on and I have 2 tickets to see them in January. I cannot fucking wait!

Same here, went the year before to see RATM and Porno for Pyros, and was all set for the year after to get tickets, but could not get the bank holiday weekend off work, when in catering!
