Actually, that does make sense. Various former players were saying yesterday that the ball had done too much, meaning only a batsman of Steve Smith’s class would have got an edge on a lot of the deliveries bowled.
That said, Woakes and Stokes bowled horribly - none of the Aussies had the decency to do that.
