Slowly recovering after being there last night. Fantastic to be there, the longest second half ever, excitement at 2 mins to go that surely we were going to do it, despair when they scored and convinced we would lose. Inevitable equaliser. At least we scraped the draw but felt like a loss.

I’m just back from emergency therapy after that and I’m advised not to go dwell on it for fear of permanent mental damage, but just a few thoughts.

Walcott was good. Lavia was awesome. Taking him off for Diallo could have cost us: we had no controlled out ball. I wasn’t happy with going to 3/5 at the back but it worked, except surprised Alcarez went off. Suppose it was because he was on a card. Thought our CBs were good. Would have liked Soulemana on earlier, disappointed not to see SA, AA and Elyounoussi didn’t do much.

Our full backs were under stress all game and cracked at the end. Don’t blame Bazunu for the third: we should have reacted quicker.

I’d like to think we’ll take the positivity from this but we’ll inevitably disappoint and revert to losing next week.

Going for a little lie-down now.

I would just say that Elyounoussi did well to win the ball and feed Alcarez, who fed Theo for the 2nd goal. But I only the saw the brief highlights so he may well have done very little apart from that.

Elanoussi was fine in most of what he did and ran himself into the ground. AA was the complete waste of space last night.

Yeah I said in this match thread AA was running around like a little boy lost. I don’t know whose fault that is but when everyone can see that and yet he’s seen as a starter, I’ll leave you to decide.

Were Mara & Djneppo unfit?
I understood the idea pace on the break but AA would struggle to get in the Wrexham team atm
