This has been a very interesting discussion. My only real contribution is that, as a non white person, I would have liked people to be more woke during the 1980s.

You’re nearly unique* on here (well, one of two or three) that have met me and Mrs Bletch.
Anyone that has looked into Mrs Bletch’s eyes would know that she’d be nothing short of delighted to see Bletch’s Python laid bare on a Saturday night.
Using the law of exception proving the rule, I cite that Mrs Bletch is soundly asleep whilst I sit downstairs, alone, drunkenly mashing keys in the hope of constructing something sentient on a forum read by a handful of cunts.

I’ve given this some thought, and reached a conclusion.
If you understand the intended connotations of the word “woke” in it’s currently intended context, accept that it is reasonable and agree with it, then you are indeed part of the group named “woke”.
If however, you consider the “woke” group to be a bunch of pretentious, politically correct bandwagon-jumping cunts, then you belong to the group named “not woke”.
Every reasonable person should aspire to belong to group 2.
